Worship Ministry
The music ministry at Northwood Baptist offers many opportunities for participation in worship and involvement in service. One of our goals is to see every member and guest getting involved in praise and worship each time we come together as we “make a joyful noise” and “sing with grace in our hearts to the Lord.” Praise and worship are not just for the choir members or those who have some kind of musical background or experience, but for every believer who professes the name of Christ.
We enjoy uplifting, spirit-filled music in our times of worship. Music in worship is not only for praising the Lord but also for inspiring believers. While we respect and enjoy the rich heritage and strong theology of the old hymns, we also realize that there is a new generation of music that is just as strong in its theology and its connection to our Lord. For that reason, we offer three distinct styles of worship service.

Sunday
| 8:30 AM » | Our early worship at 8:30 is classic. It includes a choir, piano, organ, and plenty of traditional hymns. Some people dress up in suit and tie, but most still come casual. Either way, we’re glad to have you. |
| 11:00 AM » | Our second worship service at 11:00 is upbeat and contemporary. This service includes a more casual choir and praise team with full band and the music is a combination of modern praise & worship, upbeat contemporary songs, and modern arrangements of hymns. |
Saturday
| 5:30 PM » | The Saturday evening service is geared toward the non-traditional church goers. An eclectic blend of music will help set the mood for a practical message that will help us see what God wants for us in today’s world. Come casual and bring a friend. |
