Our Life Connections Ministry is Sunday School renamed to more closely reflect our mission statement — Northwood Baptist Church exists to grow the kingdom of God by encouraging life-changing connections to the Lord Jesus Christ, His church, and His world. Currently our groups meet on Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45 A.M. with classes for all ages, preschoolers through adults!
Our adult groups welcome newcomers and regular attendees alike to come to the weekly gatherings. Sunday’s class time is centered on the study of God’s Word and encouragement to apply to life the truths that are learned. If you are a newcomer in class, be assured that you will not be called on to pray, read the Bible, or be involuntarily put on the spot in some other way. We just want you to come and get to know (make connections with) others in the class and become involved at a pace that is comfortable to you.
Of course our groups are not just about Bible study. They are about friendships, encouragement, support in difficult times, celebration in joyous times, partnership in ministry efforts, etc. As group members engage in all of these activities—not just on Sunday mornings but throughout the week—they will be making invaluable life connections with God, believers, and the world!
For adults, we have numerous classes for singles, married couples, men, and women. These are generally age-grouped so that those in each group are typically dealing with similar life-issues. If you are not sure of which class to attend, please contact the church office for a suggestion or simply stop by the welcome table on Sunday morning and one of our greeters will get you and other family members registered, help you select a group, and show you to the appropriate rooms.
